Anti-ageing- the power is in our hands
Who doesn’t want to feel good, stay fit and most of all look young? Part of staying young and combat aging is related to our attitude towards life.
Our thoughts, relationships, eating habits, body weight and appearance of our skin all affect the way we are.
A lot depends upon our perception, how we take things, our thought process, either we are pessimist or optimist, to what level we take stress to, everything influences our biology. Stress is directly related to aging, the more we worry the earlier we can see those fine lines appearing on our faces.
The best part is it is in our hand to alter these things. We can change our perceptions not only for a better tomorrow but a much better present.
Focus on the process and not the result
When we detach ourselves from the result and only keep our focus on the process in hand, we open up a plethora of possibilities for ourselves. Most of us worry about the outcome of each and every process, as we all know that results are never in our hand but hard work is.
If we understand this simple (yes, it is really simple, once you get to that level you can feel it) funda of life, stress would cease to exist in our life. It would make us feel alive and vibrant making us a more positive person in life thus reducing our chances of early aging.
Today relationships are not based on compassion and empathy but comparisons and jealousy. The negativity in relationships affects us badly as our biology releases bad chemicals instead of feel good chemicals.
The after effects of such relations are directly related to our health. Hypertension, depression and other such ailments follow thus speeding the aging process.
Like everything else maintaining a healthy relationship is also in our hands. The saying, “it takes two to tango” is very true but you can leave a positive impact on the relationship if you want to be healthy and happy. And if efforts from your side go in vain then don’t let the negativity affect you and it’s better to keep it formal.
Try to be around people who have a positive air around them and better so try to be such a person.
Mind body soul
The early ageing process or the delay of ageing depends a lot on the wellness of mind, body and soul. If you lead a healthy active life, stay focused on positives and try to find the best in everything, then surely it would act as an anti-ageing therapy for you.
On the other hand, if you underestimate the power of your mind, body, soul connection then it is sure to start showing on your body.
Positive thinking and stress free environment for the mind
Healthy eating, exercising and an active lifestyle for the body
Meditation and faith for the soul
Healthy eating habits
The six taste groups are your key for healthy eating. Fruits, vegetables, grains, proteins, eat whatever your body needs and not what your taste buds demand.
Healthy eating is about knowing what is right for your body at what time.
- Cut down your intake of salt and sugar
- Stay away from processed food
- Drink up lots of water to flush out the toxins
- Include all colors in your fruits and vegetables
- Eat lean cuts of protein
- Take dietary supplements
Make exercise a part of your daily routine. A total of two hours in a week and you are good to go. Take up a sport, do gym exercises, aerobics or just walk, but do something for a fitter you.
Taking care of the skin is not the tough part, doing it regularly is what makes it harder for women. A simple process of CTM (cleansing, toning and moisturizing) every day should be on your everyday list. Use products that are meant for your skin type and if you don’t know what works for you then visiting a dermatologist is a good idea.
There are artificial options too, to deal with ageing but when we have the healthier option of doing it now, why wait for tomorrow for the artificial options.
A little care each day will go a long way.
