Bollywood calling for these star kids
The young brigade of Bollywood star kids is ready to take on the film industry with a bang. Acting is in their blood and the advantage of a big name behind them promises them a great start. From Karisma, Kajol, Abhishek to Alia, Shraddha, Varun, star kids are making their presence felt in the Bollywood film industry.
Here is a list of young guns that have entered the big world of cinema and some who are ready for their big debut.
- Alia Bhatt
Producer Director, Mahesh Bhatt and actor Soni Razdan’s daughter, Alia, has made her presence felt with her debut movie ‘Student of the Year’ produced by Dharma Productions. She played a child artist in ‘Sangharsh’ (1999) and now she has become one of the strong leading ladies who even went sans makeup in her second movie, ‘Highway’, and won accolades for her performance.
- Arjun Kapoor
Producer Boney Kapoor’s eldest son, Arjun, set the screen ablaze with his performance in his debut movie, Ishaqzaade. He gives credit for his entry in acting to Salman Khan as he motivated him to just go for it. Before beginning his acting career he worked as an assistant director for movies ‘Saalam-e-Ishq’ and ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’ apart from working with his father on ‘Wanted’ and ‘No Entry’.
- Varun Dhawan
Younger son of Director David Dhawan, Varun made his debut with Dharma productions, ‘Student of the Year’. He’s also been directed in a film, ‘Main Tera Hero’, by his father. Varun assisted Karan Johar for ‘My Name Is Khan’ before entering the acting scene.
- Tiger Shroff
Jackie Shroff’s son Tiger entered the film kingdom with Producer Sajid Nadiadwala ‘Heropanti’. He was initially going to be launched by Director Subash Ghai, it was even speculated that Tiger would be launched by Aamir Khan.
- Shraddha Kapoor
The daughter of Shakti Kapoor has already entered the ‘100 Crore Club’ with her movie ‘Aashiqui 2’. With not such a strong debut like her contemporaries Shraddha has managed to make a place for herself pretty soon in the industry.
- Trishala Dutt
All of 21, Sanjay Dutt’s daughter Trishala is ready to enter the big world of Bollywood despite her father’s disapproval. She wants to enter films on her acting credits and not on her being from the Dutt Clan. She has joined Atlantic Theater Acting School to pursue her dream.
- Narmmadda Ahuja
Following her father’s footsteps, Narmmadda, daughter of Govinda is all set to make her film debut opposite boxer Vijender Singh. Rumor has it that the film will also feature daddy Govinda and Salman Khan to up its star quotient.
- Tanuj Virvani
Rati Agnihotri’s 23 year old son Tanuj has already written, directed, scripted, edited and acted in three of his short films, so there’s no short of talent here. He’s also worked as an Assistant Director with David Dhawan and Ken Ghosh.
- Zoa Morani
Producer Karim Morani’s daughter Zoa is entering the Bollywood film industry with three other newcomers in ‘Always Kabhi Kabhi’ directed by Roshan Abbas. She was discovered by the King of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan and has worked as an Assistant Director on Rajkumar Santoshi’s ‘Halla Bol’ and Farah Khan’s ‘Om Shanti Om’.
- Ahana Deol
Younger daughter of Dharmendra and Hema Malini, Ahana is set to enter Bollywood like her sister Esha. Ahana will soon be seen in a modern day adaptation of ‘Romeo and Juliet’ and will be directed by Aparna Sen.
- Siddhant Kapoor
Like father like son, Siddhant, son of Shakti Kapoor has made his acting debut as a villain in ‘Shootout at Wadala’ and now is working on a remake of ‘Satte pe Satta’ in which he will portray his father’s role. A DJ by profession he started off his acting career playing his father’s junior in ‘Judwaa’.
- Harshvardhan Kapoor
Anil Kapoor’s son, Sonam Kapoor’s brother, Harshvardhan will be first seen in Rayeksh Omprakash Mehra’s ‘Mirza Ghalib’.
